Just tried this on my 2015 with no success. I did get the single chime at the conclusion of the operation, but after starting the Jeep later, the reminder chime is still there. Maybe FCA disabled the ability to do this on the '15's ?

From page 51 of the 2015 owners manual. Download one, they come in handy. There are UTube vid's that work for a 2015 Cherokee and Wrangler that show the procedure described here.


"BeltAlert can be activated or deactivated by your authorized
dealer. FCA US LLC does not recommend deactivating
BeltAlert.


NOTE:
If BeltAlert has been deactivated, the Seat Belt
Reminder Light will continue to illuminate while the driver’s or outboard front passenger’s (if equipped with
BeltAlert) seat belt remains unbuckled."
