Thanks John

Great tips and link.
Did you source power back under drivers seat from battery or pop out through firewall to jumper pole?

Cheers

Browny

Direct from the battery via a 20a circuit breaker - it comes up beside the drivers seat and under the console plastic trim.

Re: Electric brake controller

Does anyone have the factory Pigtail, they would like to mail to me? I got my GC one month used and it seems the PO took it out and did who knows what with it. I have a controller that I used in my JK but I need the factory pigtail so I don't have to cut splice any wires in my new baby...

Thanks,
Gregg

If your brake controller is a Tekonsha then buy this.....
Brake Controllers - Tekonsha

I think I paid about 15$ for it...... and now that it's plugged in, not even going to try and unplug it now, it's a tough reach by the ebrake pedal.....

It isn't a tekonsha, and it doesn't have a plug in the back of it. It has the 4 wire attached directly to the controller. In my wrangler I ran wire to the battery and tapped into the brake light wire. I was hoping to just find the factory pigtail so I can wire that to the controller and not have to splice into any wires under the dash.

PM me with an address or if you'd enjoy a ride down along the river to the Doylestown area, I could just hand it to you. I used a pre-made harness and have the factory pigtail available.

Re: Electric brake controller

Gregg, I mounted mine in this location...out of the way and not actually near my legs and I can see it through the steering wheel, too. I chose to use the clip mount so I could disconnect it and stow in the glove box when it's not in use. I did see a photo on eTrailer where someone mounted theirs inside of the compartment behind the shifter in the dash...the door hiding it when it was not in use.
