Question Eliminating TPMS warning light

A friend with a Laredo X 2011 has recently upgraded the 18" wheels to 20" and haven't installed back the TPMS. Is there a way to eliminate the warning sign of the TPMS?
Thanks

Re: Eliminating TPMS warning light

Also switched wheels and the dealer said that there is no way to turn it off.

Re: Eliminating TPMS warning light

There must no be sensors in the new wheels? If there are sensors in the new wheels it will read them automatically after it is driven a bit.

Re: Eliminating TPMS warning light

There is no way to turn off the warning light. There have been a few threads on the subject. Most just ignore the light or add TPMS sensors to the wheels. Use OEM sensors, they are more reliable. You used to be able to find a set of four OEMs for like $50-75 on Ebay.

Re: Eliminating TPMS warning light

I put new 20" wheels and tires on my wifes Overland and the wrong TPMS were put in. They worked for 15KM or so then the alarm came in. Took it back to the tire shop and they used a scan tool on the TPMS and all that shows on the EVIC is dashes where it normally shows individual pressures. No chimes or alarms. I will have the proper ones installed when the hubcentric rings show up as it is my wifes GC. (I just modify it)
