Fog Light Bezel Removal - Part of my de-chroming process

I was not able to find a good thread with the proper information for swapping the fog light bezels from chrome to black gloss so I figured I will start my first DIY thread.

This is actually pretty simple:
First, access the fog lights via the wheel well by removing the plastic turn cap and removing the bottom 2 rivets (stock ones are absolutely the biggest PITA) and the 10mm bolt above the rivets.

This next part is where I had to improvise and find out that you can not just use trim removal tools from the outside like the trim rings or other some other pieces.

Next, there are two screws holding in the bezel which you need to remove , one on the top right of the back of the fog light unit and the other on the opposite side as well. I was able to use a screwdriver (torx bit) while just moving the felt wheel well liner.

Once those 2 screws are out, you can just pry out the bezel from the front like other pieces of chrome trim. It also comes out by itself.

I added pictures of before and after and I tried to get a picture of the fog unit from the wheel well but as you can see it did not turn out well at all. Hopefully the write up makes sense and helps some people though!

I'll try to write some more threads as I have changed a bunch so far.

Did you plastidip these and reinstall? Or did you consider prime and paint?

Or did you buy new black bezels?
