Gloss Black Tail Light Bezel Swap

Is slate gray the same as platinum?

Is Honeycomb separate from the rings or is it one piece?

Re: Gloss Black Tail Light Bezel Swap

I assume if you wanted to remove the bezels, paint, and then reinstall, you would need new doublesided tape... Anyone try this?

Re: Gloss Black Tail Light Bezel Swap

I haven't done it with these bezels, but yes I've taken stock parts off, painted and reapplied (did the badges on my Ram).
It's easy. Just make sure you remove all the old adhesive from the vehicle, and from the part. When you're ready to reapply the part, use some 3M Automotive emblem tape. It's available in different widths, thicknesses, and roll lengths. Start with a broad search and narrow it down to find the one that best suits your need from there.

What's your experience with those Cooper tires? I'm in the market for new ones for my 2015 GC. I have a set of winter ones so I'm not extremely concerned about that

This write up is more so focused on the removal of the tail lights and the chrome bezel, once you get those off, it's pretty straight forward. To do this you will need trim tools(or something to pry off the lift gate trim), a 10mm socket, and a T-10 torx bit for the small screw on the bezel.

We will skip to the center lights, the outside lights are pretty easy, just remove the two gray plastic rivets on the inside of the tail lights(you will see what I'm talking about when you lift the tail gate). To get the center lights out, you will have to use the 10mm socket to remove the 4 nuts holding the light in. Two on the outside of the gate and two on the inside. These are black in color, to locate the two on the inside of the gate.
I know you skipped over the outsid ones, but are the outside ones attached by double sided tape? I don't want to pry too hard since it feels like it's going to break...I can tell that there is one T-10 screw, but that's all. I bet it's tape but wanted to check.
