Headlight clear plastic film protection like "LampGard" has anyone used it?

I have a 2012 overland and wanted to know if anyone has installed the clear plastic film protection for the headlights? That is some acreage out there unprotected from stones and yellowing. I am concerned about hazing and scuffing. I thought I might be proactive and install this stuff before they get old and dingy.
Has anyone used this stuff?
I was looking at the WeatherTech brand LampGard

I used 3M film from Invisible Mask and have had no issues, now at almost 11 months since install. Still clear, no yellowing, no heat problem.

No, just the hard rubber squeegee, alcohol and soap sprays as recommended by the seller.
When I applied it, the temperature was in the mid-70sF and sunny, so no more heat was required.
