Re: Hemi spark plug change interval?

I just ordered 16 Champion 446 plugs for my 2011 Overland 5.7L from RockAuto for $33.44 including shipping.

Re: Hemi spark plug change interval?

It took me just under 2 hours to install the Champion 446's but that was with a short break, taking my time, gapping (.044) and applying anti-seize to each plug.

Re: Hemi spark plug change interval?

The Champion Iridium 9055 should cost less than $13 each. The NGK Iridium 97606 should cost less than $27 each.

Notice a difference?

Re: Hemi spark plug change interval?

Not a noticeable difference. But, then again, I just got the WK2 and hadn't really established a baseline yet with MPG's or anything. On a recent 4-hour road trip cruising at around 78, I got 21 MPG which seemed pretty good to me.

Yes that's a "new" Mopar Iridium 100K mile plug for 5.7 L Hemi's.

Mopar # SP-143877AA MSRP $17.25 (Local Mopar Dealer)
NGK # 1LZFR5E-11

It was developed by Mopar to be used in their "Police Package" 5.7L hemi engines. It's a Iridium plug made by NGK good for a 100K mile service life, made specifically for Mopars 5.7L Hemi engine. This is the new 100K mile sparkplug Jeep is using in all 2014 WK2 5.7L hemi engines and it can be used in earlier 2011~2013 WK2's.

Highway mileage is now 22.6 MPG after installing Gibson 17407 axle-backs.

Re: Hemi spark plug change interval?

The printed manual I got back in March indicated 30,000 mile spark plug changes for the HEMI. The fifth edition says 100,000.
