there is quite a few shops who do retrofitting. however most charge a pretty penny for it.

Which kit did you end up going with?

I would venture to guess it would cost you at least $1200-$1800 to have someone else do it for you.

Generally speaking, cut the area where the glue attaches the lens and housing. Eventually it'll start cutting away at the lens (I have not had direct experience with the WK2 headlights).

I would also suggest cutting little sections at a time. The glue will eventually start to melt and create quite the mess.

someone else maybe...i did my housing color match myself. If i wanted to add an addition hid projector it would cost about 300 bucks in material. Like my vinyl wrap its not the material you are paying for it is just the intensive labor and liability.

I known that may seem overpriced, but that's what a lot of these shops are charging. I have done a couple retrofits in my day, and although some may be relatively easy, others are a nightmare.

In the end, it will be significantly cheaper to do it yourself.

No I know how much work and elbow grease goes into. I've done a few as well. Search "Matte Red WK2" on here and you can find a few pics of mine.

I sealed mine with a clear RTV silicon. It's been through many car washes and rains with no condesation issue. Kids only sealed once and that was it.

open the back the light and set a flood light in the front of the light to drive all the condensation out then reseal all around with good waterproof silicone sealant.
