Homelink uses

I have some aftermarket lights but for the light bar behind the grill I used a Pep Boys remote kit to avoid pulling a wire. I did this on my WJ but completely forgot about it until I googled how to hardwire/ repurpose the homelink buttons and ended up reading how to program it for anything RF, it took way too long for me to figure it out.

Homelink is a capable RF transmitter so I programmed the PB remote to and it worked better than the remote itself. Right now on/off is occupying two buttons but I've ordered a few receivers to play with that I'm sure will allow for one touch on/off. I remembered 433.xx mhz so went with it, but it was 4am.

Re: Homelink uses

It's a 20" bar behind the lower grill the same as other installs. I put a mid level one in as a test and got lazy. I will take a picture tomorrow. I'm debating two more behind the upper slots using the same lights I have as "fogs" but in a different pattern.

Re: Homelink uses

Any preference on what you'd like to see? It's a generic 20" bar. My fogs are visionX 10*. I'm thinking about mounting them behind the grill and using a somewhat more useable 60* in the fogs. So far I'm constantly happy with the output and build of these. I chose them and aimed them for a reason Don't know if others had such luck.
The light bar I'd like is a little more than I can justify for the amount I use it. but I'm still looking.
