Yes Overland with HID, instslled LED amber side markers a year sgo. I'll relook at the round opening in the wheel well if you still have the obstacle.

EDIT: Maybe it is the filter airbox in the way, mine was taken out for the CAI. If so, it is easy enough to remove for bulb install.

Re: How do you reach front marker (turn) bulbs?

The placement of the turnsignals and sidemarkers and in the same place whether you have halogen or HID.

It may even be easier with halogen headlights as you don't have to maneuver around the rubber cone the covers the back of the projector.

See if you can find any image of the back of a head light so you have a mental reference when you have half your arm up in the fender poking around.

The turn signal/parking lamp seem like they are hard to get at, it may be easier to remove the front bumper which really isn't that hard if you replace those stupid nylon rivets with some screws and clip nuts.

The bulb is a 7443 (dual filament) on US SPEC headlights and 7440(single filament) on E-Code headlights

I would say don't bother trying to put LED's in the turn signal postion.

Here is the reasoning. The depth of the turnsignal compartment is very shallow.

The actual depth is exactly two inches deep touchin the glass inside. Plus if you run and LED in that position you will have to add a load resistor.

I wanted to add switchback projector style LED bulbs and when I finally got it into the test light it barely fit and it was only visible from the front.

if the housing was a little bigger I would say go for it.

Re: How do you reach front marker (turn) bulbs?

I have been searching around and it seems the older treads don't have any answers fro LED signal bulbs. Is that still the case?

Re: How do you reach front marker (turn) bulbs?

I installed some several months ago but ended up taking them out. The lens over the turn bulbs doesn't allow bright light to go through it, making LEDs worthless and actually less bright than the halogen.

Same thing with the 2010+ Subaru Legacy.
I'd like to take the engineer(s) that came up with that idea "out behind the wood shed and beat them within an inch of their lives."

On the other hand...
My dad's 2003 Ford F150 was simple genius.
Open the hood, pull up two tabs behind each head light bucket and pull out the entire head light. Disconnect the bulb wiring and take the bucket over to the work bench to swap the bulbs. Even in sub-freezing temps it wasn't too painful.
