When I bought my GC a couple of weeks ago it didn't have the window sticker in it so I really don't know which plant my 3.6 V6 was made. I know they make them in the U.S. and in Mexico. Is there some code on the engine number that would tell me?

Against the law in most states to sell a new vehicle without the window sticker attached to vehicle or handed to the purchaser. Ask the dealer what gives? Are you positive they didn't give you a previously owned GC?
Believe me I had the same question! I think somebody may have tried to buy but their credit may have fell through or something. We had looked at it the week before when it was on the lot but the day we went to buy it they couldn't find it! It was in the back part of the lot and not the main section. It only had 12 miles so I don't think it ever left the lot except for a test drive or two. I looked over all paperwork and called the courthouse (got a buddy over there) to run the VIN to make sure it hadn't been titled. Everything checked out but of course the dealership couldn't explain why it hadn't been parked back on the main lot.
Already did with no luck. I do have the online window sticker that the dealer posts with the vehicle that I printed off before I went to buy it. The downside is that online version does not have the country of origin information on it.
They will need to know your name, address, phone number, selling dealer and your VIN number. While you are at it, sign up for a free account on the Jeep.com Owners page and check off which e-mail notifications you want to receive or not in the future, including service bulletins, coupons, etc.
