What do you need the multi safer for if you put it on a switched circuit?

If it's like a Power Magic Pro, you need to connect to both switched and constant.

The switched power input tells the multi safer the engine is off so the timer or power monitoring system activates.

What are you hooking up? a camera you want to run for a while after it shuts off or motion activated or something?

I hooked up the BlackVue DR650S-2CH Dash Camera - it's awesome, I just cant seem to get the multi-safer to stay on when the engine is off... not sure what im doing wrong. instructions are confusing too

Edit: got it working

0) pin 5 down so lights blink on the unit
1) mirrored the DIY blackvue install fuses
2) wired fuses and plugged in camera
3) THEN plugged in the multi-safer
4) saw blinking, 40 seconds etc.

Still confused.

You want the camera on or off when the car is off?

Or do you want the camera to come on when the car goes off?

Or do you want the camera to run for a certain amount of time after the car is off?

Just trying to understand why a multi-safer is needed.

1) Yes i want it off. I have a diesel so I have it shut down at the highest voltage cutoff 12.2

2) no, stay on for (currently 6 hours, or 12.2v)

3) see 1, 2

But i got it working - and it's connected to my house wifi, so when i park it keeps an eye out for me.

so far so good
