How to Take off rear brow chrome strip??

I'm matching the brilliant black color on all of the chrome parts of my black GC2012 (grill, side chrome pieces, rear brow, ect.) and was wondering how i could take off just the chrome part of the rear brow. want to paint it off the car and be able to put it back on just as easy. Does anyone know how to pry it off without any problems then put it back on??

Let me know thanks guys. Will post pics when I'm all done with the new mods!

You don't need to post in other Sub-Forums to get a response, you have one in your previous thread right here: About to paint my own grill and rear brow--Need Help!!

Re: How to Take off rear brow chrome strip??

The back of the brow has inserts with tabs at the ends. There are 4-5 on the top and the bottom. The tabs on the bottom ones face downward so I decided to start there. I just used a bunch of trim sticks (from Harbor Freight) and started slowly prying from the bottom. The brow sits on a plastic frame that houses the camera and lic plate wiring. Make sure you insert the trim sticks between the brow and the frame and not the body and frame. Work you way across the bottom. Once the inserts are visible, I used a small flat screw driver and pushed the tabs up until it cleared the plastic frame. The top becomes easier once the bottom is loose. It's hard to visualize without pics. I'll try to take some when I help another member do theirs. The button us a seperate piece and just sits in a rubber grommet once the brow is pulled off.

Or here, where I read OP's post in the Interior/Exiterior/Visual forum, went downstairs and took pictures as I did mine: Rear Brow Removal?
