That would essentially make it a mini-van.

I want my Jeep to do what it was designed to do, not strip it down to what the Explorer does now that it's essentially a mini-van now.

How about we don't remove rock mode but add an adaptive suspension so it will be more comfortable for the masses. After all, most GCs only see dirt in the mall parking lot that's under construction.

I would like to see much better rubber around doors as live on unsealed roads and is a pain with dust constanly inside car door frames.

I would like the bugs worked out at the factory proving ground before purchase. Not at the dealership after purchase. If it ain't broke, break it, then tell the dealers how to fix it.

I'll buy into that. The inner gasket keeps the crud out of the car, but a secondary "sweep" gasket would be nice to keep the sills from collecting everything that gets past the body. Between the doors and the back gate, I'm constantly wiping up water weeping out of those places even after opening them up and drying them out after washing.

I don't know where the water all gets into, but it keeps on coming out no matter how much wiping up I do. It makes it a pain when waxing to have to keep sopping up the drips before running the applicator over the area.

I swear, I've never had a vehicle that had so many places for water to collect, then run out of later. The mirrors are another spot.

Re: If I could make a few changes to my Jeep GC.

One of the best unsung features of my 2014 GC are utility features such as fold flat front passenger seat ( to enhance storage capacity), cargo floor latches but NOTHING to secure the tailgate when moving large loads (such as last weeks 24' extension ladder).
How about securing latches, on the tail gate itself ( the underside, for example).
An easy to engineer fix which would add immensely to the Jeeps versatility.

Re: If I could add a few changes to my Jeep GC.

I like all of these ideas but if these poorly supported overbuilt minivans are approaching $70k loaded without the 6.4 and still burn to the ground from a sun visor, what are the odds a truly formidable troop carrier with useful touches like puddle lamps and true user control, what's the odds it will be in the range cost wise of a small house or other really nice vehicles price wise but still cause undue strain on owners and crap dealer support right to the point that it looses sales. They know exactly what they're selling us and what they can give/ask without loosing customers. A grand is no rover it's better and worse. But I'm out of this torture and sacrifice at these dollar amounts.

Re: If I could add a few changes to my Jeep GC.

Tailgate, when closing: need an alert to notify us there was an obstruction and it could not close. It's annoying to have to wait and confirm it closed.

Flipper tailgate glass would be awesome to have!

Angled-down side view mirrors when reversing: make the setting (angle) configurable. My wife's Jetta has that, and it's a 2001! For now, I've disabled mine because it's way too low.

The horn: make it easier to do a quick friendly beep, it's tricky with the way it is now, it's too easy for the honk to bee too strong when you wanted a quick friendly beep.

Surround view camera with active front/rear camera for 4x4 low trail viewing. Definitely for low front camera.

HUD: heads up display.

Stronger cargo area tie-downs. The plastic ones are crap and I want to secure a heavy item (cooler, and utility or ammo boxes) when offroading. Heck even just for driving around town.
