Keep laughing. When your cargo mat warning light comes on, you will stop laughing quite abruptly.

Any ideas.......my wife is kicking me for not ordering the Mopar Mat from an Australian stockist.
Just get a mirror the same size as the mat and place it on the floor. Works just like a mat.

Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
I've noticed my cargo mat doesn't help to keep objects in place better. Almost seems like the mat is more slick than the carpet itself. I had a larger piece of luggage slide across the mat and bust a window out. Are there any recalls for this mat? It's been nothing but issues for me and others it sounds like. Any TSB, or flashes that can be done to correct said issues?

Re: Installation: Mopar cargo mat

I am unsure of any new updates. I had my dealer flash 14-2-2711.D a few days ago when the "check mat" light came on. From what I was told, the update involved an updated software verison and also removing the viscous output bearing from underneath the mat and replacing the bearing with a redesigned linear style bearing instead. Regardless of all this, I'm still having a few issues.

Dealer called Chrysler and they are supposed to have a rep there tomorrow to help address the problem(s). If they cannot come to a solution, they agreed that the lemon law will apply and would help me take whatever steps necessary to make me happy.

Being that this is an OEM cargo mat, I am curious if anyone with the WeatherTech cargo mat is experiencing any of the same issues.

Re: Installation: Mopar cargo mat

I recently ordered an "OEM" cargo mat from ebay. Unfortunately, it seems that the seller in Texas was importing Mexican cargo mats across the border and selling them at rock bottom prices (I only paid $2000 USD for mine!). As a result, my cargo mat says "El Jeepo". Is there a setting in the EVIC to change the language on my cargo mat?

Also, when I use my horn, it starts to play "Lowrider" and uses the air suspension to bounce the front end. Is this normal, I never had to use the horn before I installed the mat so I cannot verify if it began before or after the install. I called the dealer and he said since I didn't buy the mat through them and have them install it they couldn't help me.

Also, has anyone put HIDs in the mat to better illuminate objects on the mat?

Re: Installation: Mopar cargo mat

Update!!! After quite some time and ALOT of troubleshooting, we were finally able to resolve the cargo mat issue. Come to find out, when the Jeep was PDI'd, they filled it with the wrong headliner fluid. It was supposed to have the synthetic panoramic fluid, but was accidentally filled with dino fluid. Either way, I dont care. Jeep drives like brake new now.
