You're welcome. There is a hot line to call for slush mat installation or operational problems. It's... the "Mat-phone." Yes, a direct line to Matman.

AAAA, after all the replies to this thread, I think you should change your handle to Mattman. You could be the go-to guy.

I am thinking of de-badging my mat and powder-coating it black.

What do you think?

Thanks, but probably not. I meant Matman, but was in too much of a hurry.
The activity on this thread simply means that adding a cargo mat and its related slush mats is an area of interest and I am just doing my part. After all, cargo mat installation is not taught in college, but an acquired skill usually through an apprenticship program. Unlike most of the posters here who are apparently engineers, I am not. As a matter of fact, my knuckles drag when I walk.

I am picturing the de-badging exercise with a grinder.

Re: Installation: Mopar cargo mat

Just use a fine grit sandpaper. it's much more fun and you'll get to enjoy the expereince a lot longer.
I wonder why I haven't unsubscribed from this thread?

Re: Installation: Mopar cargo mat

Which tabs do I have to grind off to install the upscale Overland cargo mat into a Laredo? Will I then have the "Automat" function?

Thats got me kinda thinking.....I can buy a "universal" cargo mat from the local auto store for nearly 1/4 price of a genuine Mopar mat. The one that caught my eye & I bought is a little on the large size but "No Problemo!!!". I have simply cut out the interior trim of my car, plastic, carpet etc.. (snipped through the wire of the sub woofer in doing so which was a bit of a bummer) but now the mat fits like a glove and I reckon I've saved myself $60. Road noise is somewhat increased because I had to remove most of the soundproofing around the rear wheel arches, but hey, thats what the volume dial is for on the radio.....once I can get it working again

Re: Installation: Mopar cargo mat

How does this mat work during off-roading.

If my Jeep tips totally over, will the mat stay in place, or will it flop onto the headliner?

Also, exactly how many degrees can it be tipped over, and still remain attached by gravity to the deck?
