I dunno. Maybe a few more photos would help. I know you said the Jeep logo faces the rear of the vehicle, but does the Jeep logo face up or down...

Could you do a simliar install on the front Mopar Jeep mat set installation as well? That might be a 2-beer install.

Thanks, love these installation tutorials!

The logo, when correctly orientated, should read "Jeep" when viewed from the rear gate.

If it it reads "beer" (compare to the bottle you drank from during the installation break), then the mat is orientated incorrectly. In addition, if the logo is not readily visible, it is incorrectly installed. Reverse the installation instructions, then restart from step 1.

In some cases, you may need to utilize re-orientating tool (part #TRN-180d) to accomplish the re-orientation process if the opposable thumbs are not able to complete the task without spilling the mat fluid. If the logo is not visible in the initial installation, you'll nee the Australian multi-axis re-orientation tool (part #FLP-OV3r).

This process is most easily completed with the liftgate in the up position. Otherwise, it requires rear seat re-alignment and calibration.

If you have already attempted to pair the mat to the UConnect system in the incorrect position, you'll need to unpair it and start the process again.

Haha!

Changing the blinker fluid was a lot more challenging.

And it took you an hour to drink 1 beer? You lose your mancard for the weekend :D
Oh crap. This is the wrong weekend to lose my mancard. So we went to a charity fundraiser with friends last night featuring an Irish band and Killians Red by the pitcher- I drank Pepsi. Tonight we are going with friends to a steakhouse. I guess I will stick with ice water! This sucks.:(

I bought one in September. It has steadfastly withstood the enormous weight of the grocery bags and the dirty little bootprints of the seven dwarfs, whom I occasionally transport between castles. Yes, if it gets dirty you can turn it upside down and let the carpet rub it clean.

Nicely done. I think that pretty much summed up my installation too.
Although I did add front and 2nd row mats too, so with appropriate beer breaks, it was a whole day adventure.

I think you have to cut hime some slack since it was - 20° F at the time. :p

I have had positive comments from my wife also (since that is where she rides  )

I had the dealer install mine. After 3 hours they said they were done however I couldn't find the cargo mat anywhere. They said that it was some kind of integrated install, whatever. Well a few weeks later I had to check my oil so I popped the hood and low and behold there's the cargo mat sitting on the engine. I wish I would have had this write up then as I would have just installed the mat myself.

You know I'm seeing at least a 20HP increase since I installed the mats, the engine is so much more responsive, and the noise reduction from items not sliding around and hitting the sides seems to make the radio sound better. What have you guys been seeing? Wonder if the ECU will compensate eventually like it does for all those CAI kits...

Apparently it has to be turned on in the evic setting as well as being enable by the dealer. I had mine installed when new so i wouldn't know about the HP increase.
Do you think if i get 10 in the back then i would get an extra 200Hp??? food for thought

I would have done these a long time ago if I realized it was so easy!!!

I was going to attempt this over the weekend but I wasn't sure, so I checked with the dealer. Sure enough, they warned me I risked voiding my vehicle's warranty unless it was installed at the dealership.

They haven't usually been wrong about this sort of thing. They were the ones who tipped me off that the gas should always be dealer-installed as well.

I think that's just in Canada.

I too recently installed a Mopar cargo mat. I self installed and it only took me 45 minutes. I have noticed a 2-3 mpg increase since I installed it. My dealer told me to expect 5 mpg increase so I must have done something wrong in the install. Has anyone else gotten a smaller increase in MPG when self installing their cargo mat? Should I take it back to the dealer and have them re-install it?

I would definitely bring it back and ask for a new one. You should get a minimum increase of 5 mpg, downhill, with a tail wind......with the engine off.
