For anyone that installed the Mopar Rock Rails, where do you put the jack for changing a tire? Can the RR tube support the weight of the GC if I use a high lift?
^Can you please post a picture OP? I thought the lift points were inboard enough and on the bonded seams so you could still access them with the rails, no?
Not on the front. I Put them on my Wife's Overland last month and they have a stiffener along the pinch seam. When I put new wheels and tires on I'll have to look again. I'm sure I'd just use the flat on the bottom of the rail, they're built for dragging across so they better support something.
Exactly!! If they were built to be true rock rails, they better be able to support it from the rock rails. These are not supposed to be your typical aluminum or light steel step rails. They are rock rails. They need to be able to support the weight of the vehicle if it were to hit rock or drag on rock or teeter on rock to protect the body.
So I vote yes.
