JGC Summit Hitch Cover.... Duh?

Ok, time for me to reign in some support points

I was going to put the brake controller in for my tow test and I started looking at the Hitch Cover, loosened the clips but that prick is on there.

So here is my question, after reading some of these a while back, what is the correct process of taking this thing off and putting it back on without knocking my teeth out. I have seen people do this wrong, so from anybody familiar with the right way how do I do this (angle of pull... things to be careful of etc.)

Going out for a while so post away!

Thanks fellow JeepGarage'ers

I have had it off a few times to put a bike rack on the hitch. Loosen the 2 clips then pull down at about a 45 degree angle. Don't pull strait down and don't bend all the way up. The first time takes a little force to remove it but is easier after that.
