Hell no. These are attached to the courtesy lights. They only come on when you unlock or open the doors. Pretty much match the foot well lighting.

Watch the video on a computer for annotations of lock unlock. Guess I should have shown myself opening and closing the doors.

Granted you can connect these to any power source in the vehicle, I wouldn't ride with these on constantly as it would look very ricer and tacky IMHO.

Re: LED Approach/Entry/Puddle Lighting Mod write-up!!!

Matter of interest I would have thought a SRT would come standard with the approaching light under the mirrors?

Unfortunately the US version does not.

Re: LED Approach/Entry/Puddle Lighting Mod write-up!!!

My wife's 2014 Cherokee has puddle lamps on the underside of the rear view mirrors, as did my Lexus IS. The 2011 Grand Cherokee has small access doors on the underside of the mirrors. It would be ideal if we could do this modification like other cars using the mirrors.

I don't see anything from Mopar, but will play around this weekend (my idea of fun)!

I just went to go purchase 2x LED SMD strip 12v all weather/waterproof lights from ebay. Not sure what length to buy these in and is quality something I should keep in mind? Im finding a vast difference in pricing...

Think there was a typo on your reply (5&rsquo), or maybe this is a length I am unfamiliar with?

The reason why I am asking is, the price differences I am finding between the different lengths is quite astronomical...

one guy on ebay has
2 x Waterproof SMD5050 50cm 30 LED Flexible Strip Light White 12V | eBay
2x50cm = $6.97 total

all the other guys I am finding have
2 x 24 30 48 60 cm 1M 1 5M DC 12V Waterproof Car LED Strip Light 5050 SMD White | eBay
2x24cm = $19.99
2x30cm = $112.99
2x48cm = $115.99
2x60cm = $117.99
2x1M = $121.95
2x1.5M = $124.99

Am I looking at the wrong places? Can someone point me in the right direction? Would greatly appreciate it.
