Everything in this thread can be done with any car. Just make sure you connect the wires to the dome/entry lights. That way, they will turn on and off automatically. Unless you want them constantly on

Hey all, just got my '14 Summit and I was curious if puddle/courtesy lights are already standard on the Summit. Pretty sure I saw the ground illuminated at one point last night. Haven't had time to investigate just yet.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you have them in the mirrors stock from the factory.

Question Re: LED Approach/Entry/Puddle Lighting Mod write-up!!!

Sorry if this has been answered else where and i've missed it, but i'm trying to do this to my jeep also. I love the look and so far the parts seem to be pretty cheap off amazon. I decided to (regretfully so far) buy the slightly more expensive LED lights that can color change. I figured for only a minor amount of more $ it might be nice to change the color for holidays or events or something. (ex green for st pattys day etc). So I have purchased the multi colored led with RGB wiring and the color remote. I plan on using a 4 pin extension with a four pin splitter to go to the LED strip on each side. From the remote box it requires a 12v power supply. What i'm wondering is where can I purchase the power supply that has the proper connection on one side and the two wire end to tap into the lock/unlock dimming lights? The only ones I can find are for AC usage. Am I missing something simple here? I'm normally decent with this stuff but am dumbfounded I can't find the proper adapter. I will list the parts i'm ordering or have purchased so far.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bumping this thread. I've got a 2011 wk2 Laredo X. Not seeing a yellow wire. Am I missing something?

Re: LED Approach/Entry/Puddle Lighting Mod write-up!!!

Well I tried this. After not having the right clips, I decided to just call it a night. The interior lights won't work. I think it's a bad fuse. I turn the jeep on to pull it in the garage, now the wipers won't turn off and the blinkers won't work. Any suggestions?

The only thing is quality! I wonder if there's a way for the GTRLighting guys to do this with their cree leds.

Has anyone tried these?

Re: LED Approach/Entry/Puddle Lighting Mod write-up!!!

Bringing back another old mod from the dead. I'm very interested in doing this as I work evenings.

Has anyone done this mod recently? If so, which led strips and where you did you purchase them from? Thanks.

I'm going to be doing this on Saturday. I bought led rock lights that go on crawlers. Will keep everyone posted.
