Light indicator too bright

Ok I am new and this may be a silly question.when the head lights are on there is a green indicator light that comes on ... On the dash. It is green and is very bright...I tried to turn down the dash light intensity but no joy, it had no effect on that indicator. At night it is very annoying. Anyone know how to lower the intensity of that indicator light?

If you want to spend a bit of time, here's a link to a previous thread on this. Some serious ideas, some fun ones.

Yeah its silly how there is a dash light to tell you your lights are on. It just messes with your night vision.

Re: Light indicator too bright

I agree. I set my steering wheel and seat so that the indicator is hidden behind the top of wheel. Works great.

Re: Light indicator too bright

I can't find a comfortable spot for the wheel that blocks the lights But driving my wifes Journey last night I noticed that its half as bright as it is in the Jeep. Granted she only has 1 light for her fogs but still, its not even close to the WK2's.

There is a green light for the fog's and another green light for the headlight's, I just keep the top rim lower to block the lights.

Re: Light indicator too bright

Easy. Go to a local window tint shop and ask for a 1" square piece of scrap.

Re: Light indicator too bright

Try covering it with black electric tape. It won't show but do you need it anyway?
