Maybe we are talking about different things but I can already stream Pandora from my Blackberry and control it with both the steering wheel controls and screen soft keys. I'm not sure this lockpick would add any benefit in that regard or not. I'm sure your aware of this already but I thought I'd point it out in case you weren't.

Honestly never tried as I didn't think it worked else I used it via the headphone jack, will have to try it out on the iphone tomorrow, thanks for the heads up!

Re: Lockpick install writeup

Ya just make sure you have the latest version of the Pandora app, and have the "Bluetooth headset" enabled on it. You can definitely tell your listening via Bluetooth but its still a cool feature.

Very cool, but I would imagine that you would need an unlimited data plan to keep the costs of streaming Pandora over the internet reasonable.

Re: Lockpick install writeup

Just installed the CHR550 and the stereo is really quiet, guessing the pins on the white connector did not get lined up right, it took forever getting the grey pins lined up. Guess I'll pull the bezel off and check it again.

Everything else seemed to work but I think lines in my backup cam changed. Anyone else notice a change?

Oh an I picked mine up on ebay for $289 shipped.

Re: Lockpick install writeup

I installed the unit from tvandnav2go.com. Easy to install, all the harnesses plugged right in and it was only $185 shipped from amazon.com with a/v cables. I don't know how the costaltech is, but I didn't hook up the rear camera because it said I need to run a wire to the camera itself to have power to it all the time. I thought I saw something on another thread saying that you did not have to do that.

On a side note. I had a question about the install, I called the shop, they were closed for the night. So I emailed the address on the website and had my question answered within 15 min.

Re: Lockpick install writeup

The power wire is only for vehicles that have the camera powered in reverse, fortunately the jeep is powered all the time. I thought about the tvandnav unit, but wanted the additional inputs and camera options with the 550 unit.

Re: Lockpick install writeup

Turned out my problem was also with the grey connector, must just been a poor QC on the grey cable. Had to bend one row of pins higher and one lower. Other then that everything is working now.

Re: Lockpick install writeup

What is the difference between the MyGig Lockpick and the CHR550 Lockpick?
