Re: Lockpick install writeup

Well, I do not own an IPAD, but I assume that it works. The (wife's) Iphone4 worked well, and this mod is worth the investment in time and dollars.

I will also try with the laptop, because I can use my 2TB harddrive full of movies and TV series as well. I will report my findings when I get through the experiment.

Re: Lockpick install writeup

why would you want it to work with the ipad? The ipad screen is way bigger and better quality. And you can just get a pivoting dash mount for the ipad and run the audio from the ipad into the aux on the stereo.
Check out this ipad option http://www.crunchgear.com/2010/04/30...le-ipad-mount/

I'm not sure that product is going to see the light of day...it's been over a year in the making.

Not that I know much about the cables to begin with but what I do know is that each companies IPOD cables are unique to that company. The CoastelTech ipod Cable will not work in a MyGig, or Pioneer system and and vice-versa so unless you're able to re-wire the cable from CoastalTech to the armrest then it would be pretty difficult and probably a waste of time.

I was looking for a better IPOD cable, I had one in my last radio that was much thinner and more maneuverable thats how I learned about the different connector heads.

If you are referring to the chr550, it's iPod cable appears to be long enough to route to the center console.

Those are very different connectors. Also the Chr550 iPod GUI and functionality could use some work. It does connects without the errors you get from using the center console connection.

Re: Lockpick install writeup

Previous posts indicated that the rear backup camera image was bleeding through the screen - anyone still having this problem?
