Looking for the post on removing the front bumper lower "splash guards"

First off sorry in advance - hate posts like these but I have searched and searched and cannot find the thread.

Someone had posted a DIY showing how to remove the two little "flares" or "splash guards" or "air deflectors" whatever they are on the very lower portion of the front bumper just in front of each tire. Removal seems to be an easy process but I wanted to see the pictures again with them removed.

Any help would be appreciated!

Search for "air dam" and you'll find threads like this one.

I'm not looking to remove the whole air dam, just the small pieces at the very bottom of the bumper where it sort of flares downward just in front of the wheel. It looks like a very easy removal but I wanted to see the pics that were posted again before I go ahead and take them off.

I have to admit that in my opinion that does look better. I didn't know that was a separate piece and I've been under there a few times. I wonder if removing that will have much impact on fuel economy...which is probably the purpose of those flares/air dam, whatever they are called.

Re: Looking for the post on removing the front bumper lower "splash guards"

I think it looks great without it! I don't believe it should effect mpg
