Looking for tips on installing a Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller

Anyone have any tips for installing one of these?

I'd love to see any photos of where folks mounted the controller.

Any tips on using it as well would be appreciated.

I'll be installing it in a 2015 Overland V6 Gas. Pulling a 5000Lbs GVWR Trailer. Trailer only weighs 1400Lbs and typically won't have more than 1 ton in it.

I chose a kneeknocker installation between the hood release and the gas flap button. Easily readable and reachable. Had to shim the left bracket screw with a few extra washers as the dash panel is contoured. No pics to share.

Media cubby is a popular spot, works great, easy to reach if needed and can see easily too when lit up. Obviously cable from other side for US

Re: Looking for tips on installing a Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller

I can see the pros and cons of each of your locations.

The Media cubby is mostly occupied with my STi-R+ Radar Detector I also can't see anything on that shelf from where I sit.

I like the left side suggested but I wanted it a little less visible.

So I mounted it on the left on the lower lip of the dash using an existing bolt.
I can see it right through steering wheel.

There are several, and there are several of these brake controller fitting threads too.
