My First Post and a Question:

We just bought a 2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo with the V6 Penstar. We had a hard time deciding on what new vehicle to buy but, I have been driving our 99 Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 V8 with very good luck since we bought it new in 99. I just added an inline Fitch fuel catalyst on the 99 and the mileage has already jumped up from 18.5 to 19.9 in the last two weeks since I added it. I expect even better mileage as time goes on.

My question comes because I got such a buy on the Fitch Fuel Catalyst that I bought two of them. They are both F-3636 models. This model also fits the 2012 Grand Cherokee. These catalysts require you to unclip your fuel line and the catayst just plugs right inline. I thought I had found the input fuel line for the fuel rails but, it looked the same but, the line was larger and it ended up being the return line. Does anyone know where the connection is for the fuel supply line? I can't seem to find it. I am begining to think it's probably shoehorned between the back of the engine and the firewall. Does anyone know for sure? Is there a fuel system schematic available somewhere? The two Jeep dealers I called had no clue.

This is what I am talking about.

http://www.fitchcatalyst.com/

I have been using the drop in Fitch fuel catalysts for years in all my snowmobiles, motorcycles, boat, powerstroke, and even my chain saws. The 99 grand cherokee is the first vehicle where I can watch with my own eyes as the mileage continues to increase. Yes, I am driving the same route at the same speed I have been driving for years.

Re: My First Post and a Question:

Please don't put that on your new Jeep!

You know they are in the process of switching from winter blends to summer blends of gas right? This is why your mileage has increased. All that fitchcatalyst did was lighten your wallet.

Re: My First Post and a Question:

Yup, I initially thought the same thing 10 years ago. Maybe you should try one before you pass critisism?

So, back to the original question. Does anyone know where the fuel connector might be located?

"The Fitch Fuel Catalyst is a patented poly metallic alloy that reformulates and resuscitates fuel molecules of gasoline, diesel, heating oil, and kerosene."

Re: My First Post and a Question:

We are trying to help you out and stop you from getting ripped off any further.

For the sake of argument let's say it did function as advertised. Every production vehicle would come with one. It would be government mandated just like emissions and fuel mileage standards. Instead of investing in alternative fuels like ethanol they would simply attach this product. The rights or the company itself would have been purchased by one of the Major auto companies. It simply doesn't work!

The difference in MPG's you are seeing is due to the seasonal changes in the blends of fuel that are produced along with many other day to day driving conditions and variables.

Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
The website just tells you bogus garbage about how their product works. Nothing specific. Proprietary this and that crap. Their sentences don't explain $hit about the product. They just use fancy words and phrasing to make it seem like it does something. Pure garage of a product. There are millions of mpg boosters on the market. All garbage.

Save the money.

You kinda come off as a spammer or snake oil salesman. If you would have simply asked a question instead of trying to sell your "product" you would have found a great crowd. But your first post touts a useless product, and then you seem to illustrate that you really didn't look at the WK2 fuel lines. Makes many here skeptical and that will give you a rough time.

There is no return line, only one line from the fuel tank pump to the fuel rail at the end near the firewall (drivers side I think). It is a relatively high pressure line, you may want to check out some of the WK2s and Durangos going up in flames videos before you tap into it....

hmm... I wonder if this device simply reduces fuel pressure (like a clogged filter) making the engine run a little leaner, which may work for a decade old fuel system until you really need the fuel, like cold weather or accelerating up a larger hill. Not sure how that would work on the WK2 Fuel system.
