Still working on getting my lights working. One dealer I called said the TIPM needs to be replaced.

Any quick way to TEST if activated? Like placing a tester between ground and +pins?

Suggestions?
Attached portable DC Multimeter to my receiver receptacle. With Jeep running and left blinker flashing, I was able to confirm my install is activated. Yay! (Note, My Jeep was pre-wired).

Dealer is Allen Mello - (603) 888-7550. Though I have extreme concerns with their ability to service Jeeps (they're a Dodge dealer who only recently bought out the adjacent Jeep dealership). So far NOT IMPRESSED at all with service side. My sales guy came over from the Jeep side.

All, Had my factory trailer wiring harness activated by the dealer. I installed a 10a fuse in bay M4 (which was empty) and when I took it in they tested fuses and wiring and state "reconfigured vehicle" and now it works perfectly! Buhler Jeep in NJ 732-264-5000.

Re: OEM hitch mount pics?

I have a new 2011 Grand Cherokee pre-wired. My husband did the bumper with Jeep parts. We bought the wiring harness and plug because we didn't realize it was pre-wired, but we needed the plug anyways.

I took it in a week ago to have it activated. The service writer said that he just needed to add it to the options list and it should work. Well, we didn't get to go camping Veteran's Day weekend because it didn't work. Monday I went in and brought him the directions showing him the part about the TIPM. An hour and a half and $60 later he said it was good to go. This was a discount for the trouble. We hooked it up tonight to see and there are still no brake lights or turn signals. We have a 10amp in M4. Still nothing. Any suggestions?
