Oil monitor wasn't reset when the oil was changed. Did you change it yourself or was it a shop?

Re: Oil change message

It is just your slack dealer not resetting the warning.
It is easy to do yourself, just have a quick search for the procedure on this site.

Well.... as much as I agree with you the young quick lube guys miss it occasionally. I would maybe give them a second chance but that is up to you.... the second and third time it has happened to me I get upset about it because that means they aren't doing any of them right.

Re: Oil change message

to reset the oil change indicator, with push button start button, with foot OFF the brake pedal, push start button until car is in run position, with engine off, press gas pedal to
floor 3 times within 10 secs, then push button to off position, may have to do this a few times to get it, this is why this is sometimes missed at shops, if oil change indiator is not on when performing service, and this procedure is performed, no way to tell if it has been reset, sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries to get it right, easy to check when oil change message is on, can confirm message is off, but when message is not on, no way to tell if it has been reset.

Re: Oil change message

Is it the same procedure for a 2014 oil indicator reset? I had my oil changed today and still says 44%

I think that's what it says in the owner's manual, but I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. You can double check the book.
