Overland Instrument Cluster Question

I posted in another section, this one may be better. The needles on my 2016 High Altitude sweep the whole gauge at startup. My wife's Subaru did that, but offered an option to disable that function. I was wondering if the HA did as well. I also was wondering what the DRL configuration is opposed to regular headlights. Minor questions about a truly great ride.
Thanks

Re: Overland Instrument Cluster Question

It's just to to show you that your gauges and indicator lights are functioning at startup. I guess I don't understand why anyone would find that annoying or why any manufacturer would give the ability to disable that.

But no, it can't be disabled on the GC.

DRL's can be turned on/off in the Uconnect settings. What I notice on my 16 HA that's different from my 14 is that the DRL's come on at startup. On my 14 they came on when you took the vehicle out of park. Or if in park, they came on when you turned on the parking lights or headlights.

Re: Overland Instrument Cluster Question

Thanks so much for the info. It doesn't really bother me. I turned it off in my wife's Forester because she though it meant something was wrong.

This is something that could probably be changed with the Witech system at the dealer. Typically this stuff is super easy to do on BMW/Audi/VW cars but FCA locks it down super tight
