He told me to sit in my jeep and stick my finger in the ignition where the push button goes. Sure enough it worked!

Anyway, i just went back to the dealership and got the push button for the vehicle and it works just fine. They should have an extra laying around or they'll just take it from another vehicle and deal with it later.

I bought a 2012 with no button, got one from dealer and it gives me damaged key prompt. I have no idea what is wrong and all im reading is how it's just pop in and go. Any ideas?
