Remote key fob window operation

Hello,

Does anybody know if remote window operation is possible via our key fob with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee's?

Re: Remote key fob window operation

Yes it is. The button for it is under the tailgate button. You'll need to open the key fob and add a contact though. There's a step-by-step on here somewhere for it, but simply, you'll need to buy a cheap "throw away" remote, break it open and remove the metal contact, then install that contact into your current remote at that button location.

Good Luck.

Re: Remote key fob window operation

I posted this to the wrong thread sorry to the mod's. Here goes in the right place.

found this on another forum. Would be great if someone could test it see if it works.

Front Windows: You can roll them down with the remote. Just unlock the Jeep, let go of the button, and then immediately push the button and hold. It takes about 2 seconds before they start going down, and then they go until you release the button

Re: Remote key fob window operation

that's interesting, trying to find the mod to the remote but can't find anything. Does it work to close the windows if you use the remote to lock the car? Anyone knows where is the step-by-step thread?

I tried holding the unlock down on my '14 right away since all of my previous cars have done this since '02. I was surprised it didn't work. Why would the '11 I've it and then stop doing it. I figured with all of the European influence on. The jeep that it would have it.

is there any minimal aftermarket device that you could add to have this auto open/close feature for the windows and sunroof?

It would be great if it did, but doesn't work on my 14 Laredo either.
