RF Keyfob Shields

Hope this is the best section to post this, but I have an issue I'm trying to resolve. I do a fair bit of surfing and don't like wrapping my key in a towel and taking it to the beach. I normally stash the key on the car. This I won't be able to do on the jeep as you can't lock the car.

Does anybody have any experience with the below link or any other ideas?

Re: RF Keyfob Shields

If you go on eBay and find a compatible remote year and function wise, remote start, rear gate, etc. Read through the listings you'll find one with a key that says, WILL NOT WORK WITH PROXIMITY SENSOR, I posted this before. It will solve all your problems as you can just hide it on your Jeep. Everything functions 100% it just is not recognized by the car for entry functions so you can do whatever you like once you lock it the door handles and buttons are inoperative.
I have one under my jeep always and it does nothing till I hit the button. Also unless your dealer is competent you'll want to tell them since they'll likely tell you something is wrong when they try but I guarantee it works.
They're aren't so many that are listed properly year wise, I use the back as the indicator match that and you're golden.

Thanks Guys. Got some reading to do. I figured I couldn't be the only one and did try searching but came up with nothing. User error as usual.

Check your owner's manual. You can lock the fob in the car with three button presses - BUT TAKE THE MECHANICAL KEY WITH YOU AND SECURE IT AS APPROPRIATE.
