Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

Must be you make quite a few right turns. My left rear element broke almost two years to the day after I drove the WK2 off the lot. I replaced both rear bulbs with Wagner bulbs.

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

My left rear turn sig went out at 15k miles and had it replaced by the dealer during an oil change..no charge. The other day my right rear just went out (19k miles) and now it's working again like it fixed itself. Maybe something is loose. Still working but I think I should replace it or take a look. Seems to be a very easy fix. One question though...how do you remove the push pins from the taillight assembly? Special tool or just use a flathead screw driver to wedge them out?

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

Use a small flathead screwdriver to pry out the clips and then pull lamp rearward until it releases, and change the bulb.

Screwdriver works just fine, but interesting how may folks know how... Is there a message here?

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

Now both my rear turn signals are out. I am going to replace them first thing tomorrow from my local Napa parts store. Which rear bulb is for the turn signal? The top or bottom or both? I would check the other side but like I saide that's out also.

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

My RR turn/tail light went out and I twisted the bulb and socket until it started working. Probably the socket not the bulb is at fault. RR seems to be a problem on the WK2 tail lights

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

I replaced the right rear bulb today with a Wagner replacement from Napa for $2.50. It was the top bulb. Easiest thing I have ever done, took me 5 minutes. All good now. The left side was ok, just loose.

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

The Wagner bulb is a HD bulb and should last a long time.

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

My LEFT rear turn signal just went out. 2012 WK2 with 14K miles.

I purchased a Sylvania replacement bulb, then pulled the old one out. It was Sylvania too, doh!

In case anyone else has to do this. It took quite a bit of force to pull out cover assembly, was worried that it might break but it finally came out.

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

19,000 miles and mine went out. Just replaced it. Pretty easy to do.

Re: Right rear turn signal bulb out

Left rear turn signal bulb went out on my 2011 WK2 Overland, but unlike everyone else mine lasted just past 40k miles.

Haven't replaced it yet but the comments make it seem pretty effortless.
