Re: RRO Winch Bumper - Brush Bar Combo Kit

Sensor sits way too high in the shroud... But maybe it's not supposed to be centred? Thus far no acc/fcw or brake messages. Also the bull bar is removed.

Great Job!! Looks Great i just have to laugh about the black tape on the spacers ,, I actually winded up spot welding the spacers onto the back of the bumper plate ,, much easier if or when you need to remove the front winch assembly again

F Rocky Road! I placed an order for this combo mid September. After not hearing anything for over a month I emailed requesting status. They replied and said it would ship early the following week. Two weeks later I received nothing so I emailed again. They replied that it would ship at the end of the week. Having not received a shipping confirmation by Friday night I opened a dispute with PayPal. The following Monday a refund had been issued to my PayPal account. No apology, email or promise to ship. Rocky Road apparently has no interest in serving its customers. I will never do business with them again. Hopefully you find satisfaction with them.

Re: RRO Winch Bumper - Brush Bar Combo Kit

They are awful aren't they!!!? If they weren't the only manufacturer for WK2 toys, I'd tell everyone to steer clear!

After cutting a whole in my bumper to mount their ACC approved kit, I'm too committed to turn back.

Very disappointed. I was looking at getting this next spring. Not likely now.

Re: RRO Winch Bumper - Brush Bar Combo Kit

Can I get someone to take some photos of how their ACC sensor is positioned? I'm thinking RRO didn't drill the holes forward enough, or drilled holes rather than slots where we can adjust the back and forth positioning.

Might have to cut a slot into the winch plate? Thanks RRO!

Re: RRO Winch Bumper - Brush Bar Combo Kit

Ordered mine on 10/11. Called them on 10/20, was told I should have it by the end of the month. Well, that came and went so I called them yesterday, 11/7. I was informed they are running at about 4 weeks. I said great, tomorrow is 4 weeks. I was then told mine is not in production yet, but should be soon. The part that really concerns me is that when I give them the order number, they repeatedly ask me what I ordered. Not feeling very confident about this purchase. I'll give it until the end of this month, if there is no tracking number by then, I will reluctantly have to cancel.

Re: RRO Winch Bumper - Brush Bar Combo Kit

I too have been looking into getting their combo setup. My GC isn't ACC equipped so install sounds like it won't be as stiff, however, I'd still need to actually receive the thing! Keep us updated on order statuses gentlemen.

Here are some pictures of my ACC sensor on my '14 Summit. It is definitely not centered: it is up and to the right as you look at the front of the car. I haven't done any work on the front end yet so this is how it comes from the factory. Hope this helps.

[Update] JeepGarage flipped all of the images upside down for some reason when I attached them.

Re: RRO Winch Bumper - Brush Bar Combo Kit

Your sensor is set back too far. It's sensing the plastic shroud. You need to bring it "forward".

Mine is very custom, but has a clear view of the road ahead as seen with the attached pic.

As for RRO, back when I ordered mine last year it came within a reasonable margin of error as promised. I did have an issue with a missing part, and RRO sent one out pretty quick. I could not comment on RRO recently, as like I said that was a year ago.

I was quite impressed overall the quality of the kit for the price. Would definitely buy again. But on the flip side, it did take me a long time to put my kit together as I had a lot of custom things to do. The "face" of the winch bumper that the fairlead mounts was a good 1/2 inch behind the bumper cover, so I had to put some large stainless fender washers back there to help the gap out. I think RRO really hasn't adjusted the design for the newer style bumper covers that the 14+ have.
