Slippery Running Board Chrome Strip

I have Westin running boards that have a chrome pipe that forms the outer edge of the board. It gets slippery when wet and I can only imagine what it will be when it is snowing.

Does anyone know of a product that has a rough texture surface on one side and stick-on tape on the other that might cure this problem?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and ideas!

mannichine is on a distinguished road
While I know absolutely nothing of its applicability in automotive use, I might suggest considering skate board tape. Adhesive on one side, rough textured surface on the other.

Re: Slippery Running Board Chrome Strip

Hardware/home improvement stores have non-skid tape in various widths.

Try a boat or marine shop. They have a lot of anti skid products.
