Sport mode

Hello,

I have kinda looked around, but I haven't seen a definitive list of answers.

I have a 2011 JGC Overland and I am wondering what all happens when I put it in Sport mode. Should I see increases in mpg and handling as well?

Thanks in advance for the info!
Ben.

Re: Sport mode

just a change in throttle sensitivity and transmission behavior. Tends to make you drive a little harder so the MPG's will go down typically...

Re: Sport mode

I ran a 180 mile each way trip. Ran ECO one way and ECO off the other. Same roads and terrain, got 2+ MPG more with the ECO off.

Re: Sport mode

Sport mode also lowers the suspension to the "AERO" setting.

Re: Sport mode

Love how in sport mode the shifts are super fast when WOT. The Hemi just sings! Hemi and ZF 8-speed are a great pair.

Is that also the case with a 4WD; e.g.Quadratrak, that is set to 2WD on the center console selector?

Might the wind have been a factor? I've noticed about 1-2 mpg difference going with the wind or against the wind, otherwise all factors being the same.

Re: Sport mode

Really liked the way mine drove in sport mode, but I lost about 4 mpg (after testing for several weeks).

Not sure regarding the 2wd model, mine is all wheel drive with quadra-lift.

Re: Sport mode

I just made the switch from an Overland 2011 to a new 2015 and surprise, the sport mode has been replaced by the sand mode Not happy...
Is there a way to replicate the sport behavior with a 2015?
