Transmission Flluid / Filter Change

Has anyone done the Transmission Fluid / Filter Change?
My dealer is recommending a 60K service which includes this.
I don't feel comfortable with their recommendations, since it is
not listed in the maintenance schedule.

When it was in for the TIPM recall, they wanted to change my cabin
filter, which was just done in the spring, and clean the throttle body
(which isn't recommended either @ $154)
I have done my research and will do the throttle body wipe down when I install my catch can.

Re: Transmission Flluid / Filter Change

My dealer wanted to do transmission fluid change at 30K. I was furious and pulled up the maintenance schedule on my tablet. I said, "Does this look like a police car? Don't do it!"

Re: Transmission Flluid / Filter Change

I'm calling BS on them. Nowhere in the manual is a 60K service.

If memory serves, the transmission service is due at 68k, but ONLY if used for taxi/ towing/ etc. They are just trying to make some money.

That's why I told him maybe next time. (It's not going to happen then either, especially for the "bargain" price of $950)

Are you serious $950 for a transfluid change? Is that on the 2014 8spd you are talking sbout?

MY 2011. That would include the spark plugs, throttle body cleaner and trans. filter/ fluid change. I do my own spark plugs, researched the throttle body cleaner which is wiping out the area with a lint free rag. They said it was a 60k service (which is listed nowhere).
