The dealer can turn them off with their diagnostic system.
I've had the service writer turn them off, doesn't even require a technician's time.
Granted I have the OEM halogens, but they should still be able to find the DRL setting in the on board (BCM) computer.
The service writer hooked up a device that wirelessly talks to their main computers. He navigated to what appears to be a web page on their system.
Brought up graphic display of the vehicle systems.
Click on the icon right above the OBDII connection (PCM--something or other).
In that sub-system, go to the 2nd tab from the right.
Scroll all the way down to the bottom.
Edit DRL entry (activate).
