Uconnect app shows wrong vehicle

So I remember seeing a thread at one point a few months ago regarding how the Uconnect app showed the wrong vehicle model/color for some users. I have a grante crystal altitude, but my app shows a red limited. Anyone ever figure this out?

Reinstalled the app and after downloading the latest version, it showed the correct one (Brilliant Black 75th).
However, My coworker, who has a 2015 Laredo E, has been unable to get the right one by using the same procedure

i have a 5s. its more likely to be something with the app... seems like it would be easy for them to sync it up to your vin number and use the images they use on jeep.com for the ¨build my jeep¨ page...

Re: Uconnect app shows wrong vehicle

I didn't even know that the color/trim was supposed to match. Mine shows a red summit, I have a maximum steel limited. Just figured that was the default. I guess I'll try uninstalling/reinstalling app. I am using Samsung GS7 edge, btw.

Edit: Still shows a red Summit after reinstall. Doesn't bother me since the app works.

Re: Uconnect app shows wrong vehicle

SOLVED: so was poking around trying to find some more info about shifter recall and was prompted to log into moparownerconnect.com (on computer). click JEEP, and log in with your uconnect login info. you will be taken to your "dashboard" where you can proceed to "edit profile". a "my vehicles" section shows your jeep with thumbnail on a red overland, your vin, and your vehicle nickname if you have given it one. click edit, presonalize profile, and then you can add a photo to be used as your thumbnail. im out of luck finding the image jeep used on their website of the granite altitude so i just uploaded the high altitude for now until i can snap a good picture of mine to use. this is far better than dealing with the red overland, and plus for those of us who have modded out our rides we can have that reflected in the app now
