Valentine One BlendMount with Invisicord Install

Finally got around to exploring the wiring of the mirrors for the Invisicord and once I got it, put on the BlendMount also.

The BlendMount is a much better mount than my previous I used with my Valentine One in my G37S. More solid, better design, much easier install!

Here are some pictures as they are pretty self explanatory and what everyone scrolls down to anyway.

The wiring to tap the mirror for power is:

Black = Ground
Pink/Green = Power

I remember the question of 8" or 12" Invisicord and 8" is what I used and probably a 6" would be perfect.

I really wanted a solid mount for my V1 so I bought a bracket from Great Lakes Trophies & Engraving that was designed for the Corvette and modified it to fit the visor bracket in my Summit. A little work with the Dremel and it looks like this -

I also used a 12" Micro Version Invisicord with a built in fuse. It fits perfectly.

How did you get the bracket under the visor retaining clip? I used that mount in my WK, now want to use it in the WK2...

Here's the link: I got the 8inch and used the under mirror mount from the Trophy Shop listed in this thread (cut down on the sides to fit).

Pull out the mirror wire connector from the back. Tap in the inviscord. Takes a few tries, but works flawlessly once seated. Keep engine on to know when it's a secure connection. The green/pink is power. The black is ground.

The pins are very difficult to get seated, even if you are using the micro version. You need to take a set of needle nose pliers and push the pins in a bit at the time. I choked up on just the first third of each pin to get it started.

this write up was great, recieved my invisicord today, installed in about 5 minutes. I don't mind my V1 on the suction cups, they have held great going on 5 years in various vehicles.

Yes and no. Looking straight forward its not much of an issue but making a right turn at a corner I'm not familiar with I sometimes find myself looking under or around it. I don't find it much more of a inconvenience than it actually being mounted to the window on suction cups.

Yeah I have my redline mounted in my F250, but there is room to see around. In the WK2 I have a hard time looking around the mirror itself and wouldn't want to mount the radar 24/7.
