Good info. I've only used the cheap stuff on my prior vehicles(blue stuff). Now on the jeep i'm considering not going cheap cause of the auto wipers.

I use rainx or the stuff the dealer gives me when they have a give away.

When I worked in a pharma lab I used to mix my own, 20% ethanol and a dash of tween (strong surfactant) in deionised water was great on the filth we got on Scottish roads.

I use Rain.X in the bottle for the washer fluid.

Initially, I treat my windshield to either Rain.X or Aquapel water repellants. Both seem to be silicon based treatments.

Neither of the two products have interfered with the automatic wipers on my BMW 7er.
