What is this and how do I take it apart?

What is this and how do I take it apart?

Not my Jeep. Tried taking my own pics but they didn't come out clear.

What is the correct way to remove/separate that trim piece above/behind the rear view mirror? I tried pulling it apart but I felt like I was using excessive force and nothing was happening.

Seems like a nice spot to run some cables out of sight. I'm hoping there's enough room since that's where the cable for the mirror runs as well.

Thanks!

Geez! How big is the file? It's telling me 4 hrs to download and I'm 50/20 FiOS. Thank you for the link.

Edit: Hmm, is there by chance anything wrong with the site at the moment? It's jumped to 5 hrs and still at 0%.

I just downloaded it to a tablet in about about 12 seconds.

Try again.

Hmm, that is so strange. Maybe it doesn't like IE or Chrome? I got it to download on my iPad using Safari.

I the event I break the clips I hope this isn't an expensive part.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm using IE8. Parts are just a few $ for each side. With RainSense wipers, about $17 for the housing.

PM me the vehicle VIN and I will get you the correct part number(s), there are several variants depending on vehicle year/build date etc.
