What to do with chrome grill piece?

I just got a new overland grill and am wanting to paint it to color match my brilliant black Laredo 2012. To get the chrome plastic off, should I sand it with sand paper or place it in bleach?? Give me the best answer please!! Thanks

Re: What to do with chrome grill piece?

Is the Altitude black grill, ZW79DX8AA, painted or paint over chrome ? If just painted that could need less surface prep. Anyone know ?

I would like a body colored grill on mine but would want to keep the stock one seperate in case I decide to sell.
