Re: Windshield wipers

What's the difference between the 421A and 422A vs the 21A and 22A? Bosch says both fit the GC and they're both ICON.

I was trying to figure that out myself.

Re: Icon part #'s

I believe that there is no difference & that the '4' prefix has to do with/for the aftermarket vendors like Advance, Pep Boys, Amazon, etc...

All that matters is the last 2 numbers & letter designation match the Bosch fitment chart.

I would probably just order the appropriate size PIAA refill for the rear and use the OEM blade frame...

Re: Windshield wipers

21 driver/22 passenger is what i used for my blades. I couldnt find a frameless for the rear so I just tacked on a 12" trico....no problems, and honestly similar performance to the icons in the front...for me the stock blades did just fine up until the day i had to replace them, but at that point the blade was basically peeling off of the frame next time I'll probably buy trico's for the front as well, depending on how these icons hold up, at this point i kind of have buyers remorse because of the icons...

Re: Windshield wipers

I think I take back what I said in post #14. Replaced OEM front blades with ANCO Profile/Contour last fall. I found that the bottom half of the driver's side chattered when below freezing. Now I notice a little lift in the one inch center area of the driver's side. I cleaned them with isopropyl alcohol, but no improvement. Comments? Suggestions?

Re: Windshield wipers

I am putting in my Vote for

VALEO ULTIMATES

I got mine from the tirerack and they were cheap at only $12 per blade.

I ordered a set for each of our jeeps.

I am going to see how well them hold up to our warm weather around here

They are even on sale now so I my buy more and stock them up.

Note: I have used bosch exclusiveley on my cars for about 8 years now. My gripe with the bosch is that in warm weather they only last 6 month and paying an average of 25 for a wiper blade equals $50 a set for only six month I had enough and figured I would try something else.

Re: Windshield wipers

Yes, Valeo Ultimates, great price and great performance. I should note I also clean/clay/polish my windshields, too, I am a stickler for wiper performance, but I obviously do more than just expect the blades to do all the work. Brand new off the lot, I thought the OEM wipers sucked and the windshield smeared with rain.
