No offense, but that cutting job looks terrible. I'm so glad that on the Limited, those tow hook sections just pop off.

Is there a way you can use some sort of sealing strip as a finisher to cover / frame off those cuts?

I am in the process of filing the rough cuts down. I wanted to leave more, but to actually use the hooks I had to trim more than I was hoping.

As far as a more finished look, I do not know of anything that would look good and have any staying power in heat and weather. If you do, let me know.

The main thing is I need the tow hooks and this was the only way I could think to get them there on the Summit.

Finally got to clean up and sand the edges. Also tried several different ways to clean up the the inside edge. After several failed attempts, finally decided on 1" split flexible conduit and some zip ties to clean it up.

Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

Is there anyway you could adapt/modify this black lower valance insert piece from an Overland?

Nope. The Summit front end is basically an SRT front end. You would have to replace the entire bumper,

Can we confirm the fog light indeed uses the H11, the user manual say a PSX24W.

Thanks!

Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

After purchasing the tow hooks eight months ago, I finally installed today on my 2011. Thanks for the pictures. Fairly easy, 1 1/2 hours to complete.

Has anyone bought the chrome Tow Hooks ? They are $350 on Amazon ! Also if I change the fog light bulbs to the H11 Phillips does that make them brighter ? Or just white ?

I'd paint my black ones silver before I'd pay $350 for chrome ones...that's just crazy money.

As for the bulbs...the replacement Phillips fog light bulbs I bought are a little brighter than the stock ones, but not by much. Mostly the light emitted by the Phillips bulbs is just whiter...which is the main reason I bought them.

Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

I have seen both chrome and red online- but pricey! If I add tow hooks to mine I will look at powder coating first- should be cheaper than the chrome/red ones and as I hope not to actually use my tow hooks- look good for a long time as well. May also consider the tow hook location as a mounting spot for additional lighting as well...
