Buy the black kit and then have the hooks chromed. Cost me $80 cash to have it done. Search on-line and I'm sure you can find a place that will do it for a reasonable price.

Here's how mine came out after getting them chromed.

Where did you get your tow hooks chromed? How much did it cost? I have the black ones right now and am wondering if I should get the chrome tow hooks for $206 on justforjeeps, or have them chromed.

Place is in East Hartford CT, not sure where you are from but I'd be willing to bet there's a few places near you that do it. I don't remember the name of the place but it was $80 cash to have them baked and dipped.

Inwantanotherjeep, did you end up buying and installing tow hooks and if so which ones did you end up buying ? . Also would they fit a MY14 limited ?
Cheers

Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

Installed mine last night in about 2 hours. In addition to all of the great advice in this thread, I placed a piece of duct tape over the two nuts and plate that attach the front of the hook to the frame. It held the assembly together and avoided losing a nut (forever) within the frame. This thread was very helpful - thanks to all.

Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

Interested in Tow hooks, especially the Red Set, but would rather have shackle mount points. I found a company in Australia that makes them but three pieces of steel seems clunky to me.

Anyone have any dimensions for the mounting points to the opening so I can design my own? :-)
