Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

rs15, My dealer quote was $160.00.

Finished my install today. This thread saved me a lot of pain. Thanks all.

As stated, the inner frame "nut", the round one everyone has complained about which just spins when you try to three the bolt in from the bottom while you are lying on your back, is a problem. I used a small pry bar to put pressure on that nut while i threaded in the bolt. It actually worked well.

I put the flange end of the spacer on the bracket, not the frame as the non- flanged end seemed to slip off the nubs and not center when I tried it the other way around.

As for separating the fascia, as a few have said, you just have to pull. And harder than you think you should, or would want to. Just make sure you are pulling straight forward or slightly up and forward.

Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

Used this thread to complete my tow hook install. Lots of great info here which helped, especially with the removal of the fascia from the upper bumper. I used a small plastic tool to help pry them apart at each tab point. My kit came with two sided tape which held the spacer brackets in place while I threaded the bolts.

I got mine at justforjeeps.com. I got the black ones for $160. They also sell them in red ($318) and chrome ($367 - yes really). I didn't need them to be shiny, I just need them to work, so I got the black and used the $200 I saved for, well....anything else.

^LOL. Chysler knows it costs to be a poser. Those who want Trailhawk hooks, must pay.

Do you know what part numbers they sent for the mounting brackets? I am missing the silver brackets and bolts shown in the first picture of this thread, and need to know if I can buy them separately.

Thanks

Re: WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)

Anybody have an idea about installing these on a 14' Summit. The parts list says they will work, but looking at the bumper I don't see where they would come through,
