What is the correct part number for the chrysler oil filter that's used on the 2014 grand Cherokee with the V8?

Probably because a lot of them really DID try it and ended up with problems. I wouldn't use it in my lawnmower!

Re: Wk2 hemi oil change

I know that as long as there are at least 2 types of oil, one or the other will always be best in the minds of many.

That got me wondering, no matter what oil is used, are there many engine failures these days in vehicles that are used under normal use? It seems that years ago it wasn't unusual for people with high mileage cars to get a valve job, often because of a problem with the guides. Maybe less common, but not unusual, were ring jobs and cam or crank bearings. I don't hear about much of that anymore, and cars seem to be lasting longer than ever.

Is deciding which oil to use, within manufacturer specs, much ado about nothing?

But will those others cause a problem with a warranty issue if theres an engine issue?

Only if they can prove that the filter caused the problem. That doesn't mean they won't try.

I've been running it almost exclusively now for the better part of 4 years, I have had nothing but great results from it.

And in my Lawnmower, ...........this sounds like bullsh*t but.....I swear I gained like 2 HP out of a PUSH MOWER........ The thing with RP oil runs stronger then it did brand new...its a 4.75 hp mower.....that I swear runs as strong as any 7 hp mower....

If you do a Google search for "Royal Purple oil problems" etc. you'll find a lot of people who have had issues such as heavy oil consumption, ticking, knocking etc. Mixed reviews, some people swear by it, but the amount who have had issues is high enough to keep me from ever using it.

A CAI should be good for another .28 hp, no?
