WK2 MY15 - Setting rear seat temperature

Does anyone know how to set rear set temperature. I was able to do that via voice commands with previous uconnect firmware but after updating to 14.47.1 the system doesn't recognize the command any more.

Regards

Cristian

Welcome!

You can set the rear seat temp from the front? With voice commands?

Hi RageOfFury,
yes, with the previous version of Uconnect software I was able to set it, don't know if it really worked but the voice recognition was able to understand the commans "set rear seats temperature to xxx". The system replied "setting rear temperature to xxx". I am italian so my GC is an international version and the command was in italian but I think the translation should be correct.

Sorry Cristian, that option is not available here in North America. We set ours manually using the rear controls.

Hi, as you can see I have no rear controls for temperature, there are only the seat heating buttons.

Do the rear seat heater buttons work the same as the front onscreen buttons I.e 1 press for low temp two presses for high, third press for off??
It looks like there may be two led indicators on those buttons for two settings?

Good question? I'll have to have a look as I've never sat back there? LOL!

Re: WK2 MY15 - Setting rear seat temperature

The rear seat heater works like the front one. Pushing the button two leds turn on indicating high heating temperature, one led on means low temperature.
My question was about rear seats air flow temperature.

Bye

Re: WK2 MY15 - Setting rear seat temperature

I believe that the acceptance of the voice command did nothing to change the air temperature of the rear ventilation. If I recall correctly, the rear air is sourced from the right hand side of the car, and the temperature is thus whatever it is set to.

Have a play around with it and report back if this isn't the case. It was a while ago when this was discussed in the Australia thread.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: WK2 MY15 - Setting rear seat temperature

Thank you Barboots, that could be the reason why they removed the specific voice command from the latest version of Uconnect.
